Hendrik Meintjes qualified as a Medical Orthotist and Prosthetist in 1997 where after he started a practice with Fritz Neethling in the Meulmed Hospital. Hendrik always had a passion for prosthetics and started specialising in lower limb prosthetics. Hendrik is qualified and registered as a Rheo Knee specialist. This enables him to do Lower Limb Bionics.
In 2006 Hendrik, Hannelie (his wife) and their two children, moved to Rustenburg to open a second office for Meintjes & Neethling. The practice flourished.
In 2009 Hendrik opened a third office for Meintjes & Neethling in Mafikeng, where he attends weekly.
In 2012 Hendrik completed his B-Tech Degree specialising in children with Cerebral Palsy.
Fritz has been part of the practice since it was founded in 1998. He qualified as Medical Orthotist and Prosthetist in 1997. Together with Hendrik Meintjes he helped build the practice into one of the most known and respected practices in South Africa.
Fritz completed his B-Tech degree at TUT in 2012. At the end of 2014 he also successfully registered as a full member of the Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (AOPA).
Spinal bracing is his main field of interest with particular reference to corrective bracing.
Fritz is based at the Wilgers Branch in Pretoria and does weekly clinics is Soshanguwe.
